Amy Fields, Violinist

Orchestral Verse Recital, September 2007, by bkbloodaxe

"The music certainly delivered from the opening bars of Beethoven's Violin Sonata No.1 which matched well with the first theme of birth. While Constandinidis' Greek Dances and Bloch's Baal Shem maintained the high standard of music and performance. The second section of poems on Life was also served well by Manuel de Falla's Popular Spanish Songs, itself possibly the musical highlight of the evening"

"As a musical performance though, the evening provided excellent entertainment, Bravo Rob and Amy Fields"

Evening recital, Thurso, Scotland, September 2008 ,by Caithness Courier

"Looking back over the summer, the most memorable musical event for me was the concert given by Amy Fields(violin) and Robert Fields (piano). Accompanied by her father, Amy (20) with consummate skill, entertained the audience to a programme of works from Bach to Messiaen, most of a virtuoso nature."

"Last year, in the same church, with the Cruiteran string ensemble, she appeared with her brothe, Matthew(14) as soloists in the Bach double violin Concerto. On that occasion, the general view was that their playing showed maturity far beyond their years"
